There's costs that accumulate. Small stuff but still why should a single individual have to deal with them

Initiatives like local Freifunk groups, @thethingsntwrk communities, hackerspaces, etc. There's usually a (very) small core keeping them running

thinking about this, it's probably a situation a lot of people running open source projects and community initiatives find themselves in. Maybe a good topic for a session at #34c3
