  1. Yesterday was #repair day. A successful one as well. Fixed my tape deck with a new rubber band and some grease. Anyone know where to get proper rubber bands for stuff like that? This one's ~20 years old, and I replaced it with a regular household one. #onethingaweek

      But I had a similar issue on my CD player a few months ago and paid some good money to get it fixed, probably just a similar replacement. Anyone know where to find them, and also how to measure them properly? Black is the original, blue my replacement which works but hmm...

        Also fixed the plug on some Christmas lights. Wanted to replace the plug completely, but couldn't find a replacement in my stash, so soldered them together with the cheap-o battery soldering iron, and then gave it some strength and isolating with my favorite hot glue gun 🤩
